curriculum structure

To achieve the learning objective that has been declared, DKV FIK Telkom University provides the four concentrations, namely:  

  • Graphic Design
  • Multimedia
  • Advertising
  • Design Management

 

This classification of concentrations is to respond the industry needs. The study program provides the graduates with specific competencies, and concentrate on one of expertise or professions in the field of visual communication design. Furthermore, it is an effort from DKV Telkom University to adjust and compete with the progress of developing visual communication design discipline.

The curriculum structure of Visual Communication Design consists of:

  • University Courses. The basic courses managed by university and they are compulsory at all study programs. They are held to represent the values of Telkom University (PRIME).
  • Faculty Courses. The principle discipline of Creative Industry Faculty implemented in the vision and mission of faculty. They consist of comprehension and competence of visual art and design.
  • Study Program Courses. Basic courses, the principle and supporting competence of DKV which are compulsory for all concentrations.
  • Concentration Courses. Advanced courses, they are held to achieve the competence in the field of DKV based on the concentration. Relating to the data above, the curriculum structure of Visual Communication Design was established by considering the development of visual communication design discipline in the future. These new concentration programs are made based on  the market needs and visual communication design discipline development. The DKV curriculum structure is as follow;
